<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positron emission tomography apparatus capable of reducing artifacts even if being constituted by dismounting parts of detectors. <P>SOLUTION: A PET apparatus 1 includes: a data collecting unit 13 for collecting LOR data that represents a line connecting a detector pair in which pair annihilation photons are detected; and an interpolation LOR data creation unit 17 that stochastically calculates the number of interpolated LORs assumed to be collected if there are extracted detector portions and creates interpolated LOR data. The defected LOR of the extracted detector portion is interpolated by the stochastically calculated interpolated LOR data so as to reduce the artifacts generated in a tomographic image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
