<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact moving mechanism which moves an imaging element while keeping imaging area accuracy, in an imaging device having the moving mechanism of the imaging element. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises an imaging element 6 in which light from an object is imaged through an imaging optical system 100; and a moving mechanism for moving the imaging element 6. A first driving portion 101 has a main coil 2 and a main magnet 8, and moves a supporting plate 7 of the imaging element 6 along an optical axis of the imaging optical system 100. A second driving portion 102 has an assist coil 3 and an assist magnet 9, and tilts an imaging surface of the imaging element 6 to a surface orthogonal to the optical axis of the imaging optical system 100.
