摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress that a reading period per one frame lengthens, and to suppress influences of incidental image characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel 20, for each column, has a TFT switch 50 whose control terminal is connected to a scanning wire 52 in order to short-circuit a semiconductor layer 21 to be a photodiode. In a state that a TFT switch 4 and the TFT switch 50 are turned off, in a sensor part 103, electric charge generated in the semiconductor layer 21 depending on radiation is accumulated in a lower electrode 11. The TFT switch 4 is turned on while the TFT switch 50 remains in off state, and the electric charge accumulated in the sensor part 103 is read out. After completion of read of the electric charge, the TFT switch 4 is turned off and the TFT switch 50 is turned on to short-circuit the sensor part 103, and thereby, an electric charge amount Q that is a saturation amount is accumulated in the sensor part 103.
