<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of quickly and easily retrieving desired video content from the video content recorded by another recording device. <P>SOLUTION: A recording device 1 provided with reading means for reading identification information recorded on a recording medium, a drive recording unit 22 for recording the identification information read from the recording medium by the reading means, and recording means for recording video content in the recording medium comprises: recording means for associating information related to the video content recorded by the recording means with its own identification information recorded in the drive recording unit 22 in advance and identification information of the recording medium recorded in the drive recording unit 22 and recording the information related to the video content in the drive recording unit 22; connection means for connecting to a network; and retrieval means for retrieving information related to the video content from the drive recording unit 22 or a recording unit of an external device connected to the network connected by the connection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
