<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method of determining a variation pattern of a game machine. <P>SOLUTION: The variation pattern is determined by a novel method of changing a table for selecting the variation pattern according to which of ten kinds of preset game states a game state at a point of time when extracting random numbers for determining the variation pattern and a game state when actually determining the variation pattern (when determining win/loss of special symbols) are assumed to be.
