<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress gas generation and a reduction in battery capacity when a lithium secondary battery is stored at high temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: An electrolyte contains polymerizable compounds or a polymer. The polymerizable compounds include: a polymerizable compound having an aromatic functional group and a polymerizable functional group; and a polymerizable compound having a complex-forming functional group, which forms a complex with metal ions, and the polymerizable functional group.
