<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of detecting a multi-turn absolute rotating angle of a motor rotating shaft connected to a motor output shaft. <P>SOLUTION: In the rotation angle detecting device according to the present invention, a relationship of the rotation angle θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>of the motor rotating shaft to the rotation angle θ<SB POS="POST">n</SB>of an nth rotating shaft satisfies an expression: θ<SB POS="POST">n</SB>=(-(m±1)/m)<SP POS="POST">n-1</SP>×θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>. As an embodiment for materializing a mechanism satisfying the relationship, the rotation angle detecting device is formed with a gear mechanism in which a gear having (m±1) gear teeth is meshed with a gear having m gear teeth between adjacent rotating shafts from a first rotating shaft to the nth rotating shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
