<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for holding a conference etc. which reduces a burden on a conference organizer when holding the conference and prevents a situation in which only specific attendances make speeches in the conference, thereby reliably improving efficiency of the progress of the conference. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises: agenda identification means which identifies an agenda of the conference; speaker identification means which identifies speakers of the conference; agenda receiving means which receives input of the agenda of the conference scheduled to be held; and selection means which extracts the same agenda as the received agenda or an agenda similar to the received agenda from speaker information associating the identified agenda with the speakers about the agenda, that is stored in a storage device provided to the device internally or externally, extracts the speakers associated with the extracted agenda; and selects the extracted speakers as required attendances to the conference scheduled to be held.
