摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical inspection sensor which is used for determining concentration of a test body in a fluid sample, more specifically, in biological fluid. <P>SOLUTION: A light guide inspection sensor 10 includes: a light guide 12; a reagent coating film 16; and a mesh layer 22. The reagent coating film 16 and the mesh layer 22 are attached to the light guide 12 at an output end 20 of the light guide 12. The light guide inspection sensor 10 is constituted to be used for inspecting a level of a test body in a biological fluid sample when it is used with a reading head. A method for manufacturing the light guide inspection sensor 10 includes steps of: providing a plurality of light guides 12; providing a strip of the reagent coating film 16; and providing a strip of the mesh layer 22. The reagent coating film 16 and the mesh layer 22 are attached to the light guide 12 by ultrasonic welding.
