<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut down the consumption of coke by throwing the same together with waste without previously treating wooden chips in a gasification melting furnace. <P>SOLUTION: In the waste melting treatment method, the waste is charged together with coke and limestone in a shaft furnace type waste melting furnace 1. Oxygen or oxygen-enriched air is blown from a furnace bottom blow port 3 so that the waste is dried, pyrolyzed, burned, and melted. The wood chips are mixed with the waste and charged in the furnace. The wooden chips are carbonized and a carbide particle layer is formed on a coke bed 4 to be substituted for the coke equivalently at the amount of fixed carbon. The water content of the wooden chip is 2.5 mass% or less of the total amount of thrown garbage, the maximum part of dimension of the wood chip is 100 mm or less, and the thickness of the carbide particle layer is 40-80 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
