DUCT SILENCER USING ACOUSTIC BANDGAP

PURPOSE: A duct muffler using an acoustic band gap is provided to easily control a frequency band of noise by properly controlling size and shape of a structure. CONSTITUTION: A duct muffler blocks the noise of a frequency band determined according to sectional forms, area ratios, gaps of unit rods(2). The unit rods are separately placed at constant intervals. A unit row(2a) comprising the unit rods is formed. The duct muffler is formed while two or more unit members(5) are placed in series along a direction of progress.
