<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding apparatus that can suppress wrinkles from being formed on a folded sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet folding apparatus 300 includes: a blade member 203 that presses a sheet surface using a point thereof and presses the sheet into a sheet folding part for folding the sheet; and insertion members 220, 225 that are disposed in the sheet folding part and insert the sheet that is pressed into a sheet folding part by the blade member 203 so that the sheet is folded. A control means performs control so that the sheet is pressed into the sheet folding part by a rear end pressing member 218 for pressing a rear end of the sheet and the blade member 203 is further moved to a downstream in a sheet insertion direction in a state that the rear end of the sheet is pressed by the rear end pressing member 218, and the sheet is subsequently inserted by the insertion members 220, 225. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
