A medical device (1) comprises: an insertion part inserted into a bronchus (9) of a subject (7); a CT image data storage unit (15) for storing pre-acquired three-dimensional image data relating to the subject (7); a position calculation unit (20) for calculating the position and direction of a distal end part (2C) of the insertion part (2A) within the bronchus; a pathway generation unit (18) for generating, on the basis of a three-dimensional image, an insertion pathway (R) for the insertion of the distal end part (2C) to a target site (9G) via the bronchus (9); a tomographic image generation unit (14) for generating, from the three-dimensional image data, a tomographic image based on the position and direction of the distal end part (2C); a superimposed image generation unit (12) for generating a superimposed image (PW1) where the insertion pathway (R) and the tomographic image (PO) are superimposed; and a display unit (4) for displaying the superimposed image (PW1). |
