The invention relates to a device and a method that allows to characterize the relevance of errors of parameters affecting glucose concentration on a postprandial glucose concentration outcome for a person with diabetes mellitus. It describes in detail the effects of potential errors of parameters affecting glucose concentration on postprandial glucose concentration values within the clinically relevant glucose range and allows to give advice dependent on the error.
