PURPOSE: A system for automatically transmitting a taken image and a method thereof are provided to automatically transmit a taken image to a high-capacity server and manage the same, thereby resolving lack of memory and efficiently storing and managing high-capacity image information. CONSTITUTION: A buffer processor(230) temporarily stores an image taken by a camera unit(210). If the image is normally transmitted, the buffer processor deletes the image. A transmission processor(270) automatically transmits the image temporarily stored in the buffer processor to a predetermined external server. The external server maps the received image data with information about a user terminal and stores the same. A network checking unit(260) checks a transmission state of a wireless network and determines the transmission of the image according to the transmission state.
