A device for securing a window bar (4) on the outside of a windowpane (3) comprises a first connecting means (5) having a body with portions (8) adapted to be introducible between the border (28) of a window-frame closest to the windowpane and the windowpane and for gripping around and releasably snap securing to this border. The device has male (13) and female (17) members designed to be movable into mutually interlocking engagement for securing the window bar (4) to the window-frame (2).
