PURPOSE: A novel benzothiazole derivative or benzisothiazole derivative is provided to prevent, relieve, or treat 5-HT6-mediated diseases. CONSTITUTION: A novel benzothiazole derivative with a function of inhibiting 5-HT6 receptor is denoted by chemical formula I. The noel benzothiazole derivative is N,N-dimethyl-N'-(5-(4-methylphenylsulfoneamido)benzo[d]isothizole-3-yl)formimidide or N,N-dimethyl-N'-(5-(naphthalene-2-sulfonamide)benzo[d]isothiazole-3-yl)foramimidide. A composition for preventing, relieving, or treating 5-HT6 receptor-mediated diseases contains the compound of chemical formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The diseases are Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, anxiety, or obesity.
