<p>The data carrier has an electrical circuit arrangement (10) and an electrical destruction unit (20) arranged adjacent to the circuit arrangement. The electrical destruction unit is equipped to make the circuit arrangement partially inoperable. The destruction unit is equipped for generating heat in response to the current flow passing through the circuit arrangement and is galvanically or logically decoupled from the circuit arrangement.
