Motor vehicle component and method for manufacturing same

The motor vehicle component comprises a metallic base body (2) and a reinforcing element (3) made of fiber composite material coupled to the base body. The base body is formed as a three dimensional sheet metal component. The base body and the reinforcing element are integrally coupled with a matrix resin (9) made of fiber composite material in a coupling area. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing of a motor vehicle component.
