Information system for transmitting messages between traffic participants

The traffic information system has several mobile communication devices (1) and a central station. Each mobile communication device is provided with a processor (2), a communication unit (4), a global positioning system (GPS) receiver (5) and a combined input and output unit (3). The user is allowed to input the event message through input unit. A GPS receiver is configured to determine the user's position. The communication unit is configured transmit the user's event information including the user's position to center station through internet.
