PURPOSE: An EPC(Electronic Product Code) network authentication apparatus using a reverse proxy and an authentication method thereof are provided to simplify user authentication and authorization processes by using the reverse proxy in an EPC network. CONSTITUTION: An EPC network authentication apparatus using a reverse proxy(112) includes an EPC network(110) requesting authentication through network connection of a user terminal(100) using the reverse proxy. The EPC network authentication apparatus includes a platform(130) which provides a corresponding authentication service. The EPC network receives a call request through the reverse proxy according to a network call request from an external user terminal. The EPC network comprises the reverse proxy, an agent(114), and a service application(116). The platform is communicatively connected by the reverse proxy in the EPC network. The platform authenticates the user terminal for validity verification.
