<p>An ink cartridge includes an ink storing portion, an ink outlet tube that defines an ink supply path therein, configured to be in fluid communication with the liquid storing portion, and configured to allow ink to flow therethrough in an ink flow direction. The ink cartridge further includes a first valve, a second valve, and a detector. The second valve includes a valve seat, a movable valve member disposed at the ink outlet tube and configured to selectively move between a first position and a second position, and a biasing member disposed at the ink outlet tube and configured to bias the movable valve member in the ink flow direction. The detector is disposed outside the ink outlet tube and configured to selectively output a first signal and a second signal. The detector is configured to output the first signal when the movable valve member is in the first position, and to output the second signal when the movable valve member is in the second position.</p> |
