Solvent comprises an aqueous solution of a secondary amine and an additive containing a salt of vitamin C or vitamin E. Independent claims are included for: (1) a method of producing absorption liquid comprising mixing an aqueous solution with a secondary amine, and adding the additive to the aqueous solution; and (2) absorption liquid produced by the process.
