The fuel supply to a jet engine is automatically controlled by an electrical system (see Group XXXV) so that below a predetermined speed acceleration is maintained at a value which increases exponentially with speed whereas above the predetermined speed, speed is maintained constant. Control of the fuel supply is overridden by a further electrical control to prevent tail pipe temperature exceeding a predetermined maximum.</p> |
