PLANAR ULTRA WIDEBAND 3DB BRANCH LINE COUPLER USING OPEN COUPLED LINE

PURPOSE: A planar ultra wideband 3dB branch line coupler using an open line is provided to accurately set up the width of an input/output signal in the desired ultra wideband by controlling the size of capacitive combination or inductive combination between a coupled line and the open line. CONSTITUTION: Two series branch lines(111,113) are separately arranged on the same plane. Two parallel branch lines(115,117) are arranged vertically to the two series branch lines. A first coupled line(121) is extended to one side of the first series branch line. A second coupled line(123) is extended to one side of the second series branch line. A third coupled line(125) is extended to other side of the first series branch line. A fourth coupled line(127) is extended to other side of the second series branch line.
