The invention relates to medicine, particularly to pediatric cardiology.The method for predicting the evolution of congenital heart failure in children, complicated by pulmonary hypertension includes the clinical and paraclinical examination, establishing the following parameters: age of heart failure (VD), trisomy of chromosome 21 (DOWN), heart failure index according to NYUPHFI (New York University Pediatric Heart Failure Index) (SIC), systemic oxygen saturation (SSO), right ventricular Tei cardiac action rate (IPM), right pulmonary artery dilatation (DAPD), systolic pulmonary pressure (PSAP), mean pulmonary pressure (PMAP), cardiothoracic index (ICT), tricuspid ring systolic excursion (ESITS), pulmonary vascular resistance index (IRVP), then it is calculated the discriminant function (F) by the formula:F = 8,9033 - 0,0046 × VD + 0,1728 × DOWN - 0,0102 × SIC - 0,0348 × SSO - 1,6029 × IPM + 0,0769 × DAPD + 0,0365 × PSAP - 0,0428 × PMAP - 0,3639 × ICT - 0,3962 × ESITS + 0,1264 × IRVP.In case when F < 0 it is predicted a favorable evolution, and when F > 0 - an unfavorable evolution of heart failure complicated by pulmonary hypertension.
