PURPOSE: A gas spring prolongedly preventing the inflow of foreign materials is provided to protect the oil seal in the cylinder from the inflow of foreign materials through semipermanent elasticity of the spring. CONSTITUTION: A gas spring prolongedly preventing the inflow of foreign materials comprises a cylinder, a piston, a piston rod, a sealing portion, and a rod guide(141). The cylinder is filled with oil and comprises a hollow portion filled with gas. The sealing portion partitions the inner space of the cylinder and outside. The rod guide is installed in the opening portion of the hollow portion of the cylinder. The rod guide comprises a through hole(141c) and a circular contact portion(1411). The through hole is formed to be passed by a piston rod. The circular contact portion is contacted to the external side of the piston rod elastically.
