PURPOSE: A cam slide type torque sensor is provided to rotate a movable spacer of an output shaft by being closely adhered to a spacer member joined to a fixing groove of an input shaft and to prevent an idle rotation of the output shaft because the output shaft is not rotated more than a predetermined angle due to the spacer member. CONSTITUTION: A cam slide type torque sensor(100) comprises an input shaft(10), an output shaft(20), a fixed cam(30), a rotating cam(40), and a sensor unit(50). The input shaft receives a torque from an outside steering device in one side and transfers to the other side. A fixing groove and a space groove are formed in the inner side of the central part of the input shaft. The other side of the input shaft is joined to the inner side of the output shaft. A plurality of moving spacers(21) is projected in one side of the output shaft. One side of the fixing cam is joined to the input shaft and a plurality of inclination units(32) is formed in the other side of the fixing cam. The rotating cam is joined to the output shaft.
