The present invention relates to a photovoltaic module comprising the components: (1) a photovoltaic semiconductor and (2) one or more layers containing (A) a synthetic polymer and (B) an UV absorber of the formula (I) wherein X is a straight or branched chain C1-C16 alkylene, o-, m- or p-xylylene or an oxaalkanediyl of the formulae —CH2CH2[OCH2CH2]n—, —CH2CH(CH3)[OCH2CH(CH3)]n— or —CH2CH2CH2[OCH2CH2CH2]n—, where n is 1-4; R1 is hydrogen, straight or branched chain C1-C18 alkyl, straight or branched chain C1-C18 alkoxy or chloro; R2 is hydrogen or straight or branched chain C1-C18 alkyl. |
