The spacer pipe (1) comprises two glass panes with a pipe wall (2), which has a view wall (6), a base wall (7) opposite to the view wall, and two side walls (8) for connecting with the glass pane. One of the two side walls is strain-hardened for increasing the flexural rigidity of the spacer pipe.
