摘要 The invention relates to a specialized welding device carried out for developing and applying the latest active rotary element friction welding process named friction stir welding - FSW, for sheets of hard aluminium alloys. According to the invention, the device consists of a body (1) designed to permit the device to be attached to the main shaft of the welding machine by means of a Morse cone of variable size, depending on the machine type, a welding tool (2) in a single-piece construction made of sintered wolfram carbide, having in the range of 12...22 mm, set depending on the thickness and the type of the alloy to be welded, and the tool pin (2) in the shape of a truncated pyramid, the geometry and size of which varies depending on the thickness of the metal sheets and the alloy they are made of, as follows: the truncated pyramid height or the pin length ranges between 1.8...9.0 mm and represents 85...90% of the thickness of the material to be welded while the vertex angle ranges between 10...20°, the tool (2) being fastened within the body (1) of the device by means of a screw (3).
