PURPOSE: A cooperative multipoint transmission and reception method and system thereof are provided to maximize resource usage efficiency by allocating resources for cooperative multipoint transmission. CONSTITUTION: Each transmission point exchanges information for executing cooperative multipoint transmission with one or more other points which participate in the cooperative multipoint transmission(S220). Each transmission point allocates resources based on the resource allocation information of the other transmission points without overlapping with allocated resources of other transmission points(S230). The terminal executes the cooperative multipoint transmission by using the allocated resources(S240).
