The invention relates to a process for the decontamination of waste water from textile industry. According to the invention, the process consists in treating the waste water with a decontaminant selected from macrocyclic compounds in the calixarene class or macromolecular compounds in the styrene-divinylbenzene resins class, at the ambient temperature, for 12...24 h in case of treatment with macrocyclic compounds or 4...5 h in case of macromolecular compounds, followed by filtration of the so-purified waste water which is eliminated and the recovery of the decontamination product to be recycled after regeneration.
