摘要 PURPOSE: An ignition plug assembling device using a dual arm robot and a method thereof are provided to prevent misassembling and reduce manufacturing man power and time by inserting and assembling an ignition plug in the mounting portion of a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION: An ignition plug assembling device using a dual arm robot(10) comprises a vision apparatus, a gripper(14), a nut runner(16), and a control unit. The dual arm robot comprises a body portion and first and second articulated arms(11, 12). The body portion is fixed in the assembling portion of an ignition plug. The first and second articulated arms are installed in the body portion. The vision apparatus detects the kind of an engine and the position for the ignition plug installation. The gripper is installed in the end portion of the first articulated arm. The gripper grips an ignition plug(32) and inserts the plug to the ignition plug mount of a cylinder head(34). The nut runner is installed in the end portion of the second articulated arm. The nut runner fastens the ignition plug inserted in the ignition plug mount with determined torque. The control unit controls the operation of the first and second articulated arms based on the detection information of the vision apparatus.
