The cell (1) has an enclosure (2) with a side face (4A) comprising an opening to access the interior of the enclosure. A closing unit (7) e.g. door, is movable between closed and open positions of the opening. Anti-entry and anti-exit locks (8, 9) of the unit have a configuration in which the locks are, under the action of weight of a bird and based on a position of the bird relative to the enclosure, movable from an inactive position to an active position to prevent the unit from moving to the open position to automatically activate the locks in a preset position of the bird in the enclosure.
