摘要 FIELD: transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technics of road traffic accident (RTA) investigation. Vehicle speed at the instant of collision is determined by experimental simulating the process of glass fragmentation ellipse pattern formation. In this process, fragments are scattered twice in direction of longitudinal axis of fragments scattering ellipse. For simulation purposes, length of fragments scattering ellipse axis is determined directly at the place of RTA. During simulation, velocity of glass fragments movement over collision place and lengths of glass fragmentation ellipses axes corresponding to fragments scattering velocities are calculated. Vehicle speed at the instant of collision is calculated by formula. Mobile stand for simulation contains platform in the form of stem movably installed on stand base, system of platform acceleration and barrier. At one end of the stem, cross-beam is mounted being capable of angular movement in vertical plane relative to stem axis. Cross-beam has two cartridges for glass fragments from RTA place, with possibility of their fixation in various cross-member races. The other end of stem accepts impact which actuate dynamic platform. The stand has system for determination of platform movement speed at the instance of its stop. ^ EFFECT: higher accuracy of determination of vehicle speed at the instance of collision. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg
