PURPOSE: A label printing device of a light scribe disk and a method thereof are provided to intentionally show a uniform stripe on a label of a light scribe disk. CONSTITUTION: A sled motor(16) moves an optical pickup from the inner circumference of a light scribe disk to the outer circumference of the light scribe. A microcomputer(15) performs a tracking servo operation at a track interval broader than a set track interval when a label is printed. If an objective lens reaches to the maximum operating range of a tracking actuator, the microcomputer rotates the sled motor by one step. The microcomputer performs a tracking servo operation at the broad track interval. The microcomputer prints a label.
