PURPOSE: An automatic teller machine supporting a simple transaction using a 2D bar code and an operating method thereof are provided to omit a previous procedure for a financial transaction by providing a service screen supporting a required transaction through a scanned 2D bar code. CONSTITUTION: An automatic teller machine(200) includes a scan unit(201) and a processor(205). The scan unit scans a 2D bar code from a mobile terminal by a transaction request. The processor checks the requested financial transaction from the scanned 2D bar code and provides a service screen for supporting the checked financial transaction to a display unit.
