摘要 <p>The device has a laser source (20) e.g. laser, with an optical cavity (21) for emitting laser beam that lightens a mechanical part (10). A calculating unit (40) obtains value of parameter, where the parameter characterizes measured optical power time signal. A control unit (50) calculates difference between the value of parameter and reference value, where the control unit detects the presence of superficial defect of the part when the calculated difference is greater than or equal to predetermined threshold difference. The parameter is chosen from phase, optical frequency or amplitude of the signal. An independent claim is also included for a method for non-destructive testing of a mechanical part.</p>
