摘要 A system for controlling demand response events in a utility network is disclosed. The system comprises customer sites connected to the utility network, a utility management server communicatively coupled to the customer sites and a utility and a module configured to output demand response control signals to the customer sites. Each of the customer sites comprises one or more utility consuming devices and the utility management server comprises a demand response module. The demand response module is configured to determine a number of available demand response events and determine a number of opportunities available to issue the available demand response events. A probability distribution of a demand response parameter for each of the number of opportunities is determined by the demand response module. The demand response module is configured to calculate a threshold value for the demand response parameter based on the number of available demand response events, the number of opportunities available to issue the available demand response events, and the probability distribution of the demand response parameter for each of the number of opportunities and compare a current value of the demand response parameter with the threshold value; and determine whether to issue a demand response event for a current opportunity based on a comparison result.
