Disclosed is a process for producing a roll your own tobacco shag from tobacco lamina and tobacco stem, the process including the steps of: a. flattening the tobacco stem to break down the cellular structure of the tobacco stem; b. combining the flattened tobacco stem with the tobacco lamina; and, c. cutting the combined flattened tobacco stem and tobacco lamina to produce a roll your own tobacco shag.
