PURPOSE: A tension maintaining system for an offshore crane is provided to constantly maintain the tension of a rope by a relative movement between an offshore crane and a ship due to waves. CONSTITUTION: A tension maintaining system for an offshore crane comprises an oil tank(20), a pump(40), a hydraulic motor(50), and a winch controller(10). The oil tank is arranged in one side of a lift device and stores oil. The pump is driven by an electric motor(30) and supplies the oil of the oil tank. The hydraulic motor controls the flow of the oil supplied from the pump to drive an electric winch. The winch controller receives weight information detected from a load cell installed for detecting the weight hanging on a rope. By operating a tension solenoid valve and a proportion relief valve installed in the front of the electric winch according to the weight information, the flow passing through the hydraulic motor is controlled. The operation of the electric winch is controlled by comparing the weight hanging on the rope and a reference weight. |
