摘要 <p>The method involves rinsing a titanium or titanium alloy part (10), and scouring the titanium or titanium alloy part by chemical dissolution of its alpha case layer, while plunging the titanium or titanium alloy part in a bath (58) containing a product with nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. The titanium or titanium alloy part is rinsed and dried. Thickness of withdrawn material is controlled at the time of the scouring stage. Surfaces of the titanium or titanium alloy part are inspected for detecting machining defects. An independent claim is also included for an installation for implementation of process for controlling a titanium or titanium alloy part that is used for detection of machining defects, comprising a bath.</p>
