PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce complicated work pertaining to the setting change of a filtering rule by an administrator of a filtering rule pertaining to the sending of an e-mail.

SOLUTION: A mechanism for controlling the sending of an e-mail stores a sending rule pertaining to the sending control of an e-mail and the changing conditions for changing the sending rule, determines whether the content of an e-mail thus acquired matches the changing conditions thus stored, and then changes the sending rule thus stored according to the determination results. According to the data pertaining to an e-mail thus acquired and the sending rule thus stored, the content of sending control of the e-mail thus acquired is determined and the sending control of the e-mail thus acquired is performed according to the content of sending control thus determined.
