<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor unit and an image reader capable of reducing the influence of reflected light while suppressing variation in amount of light for reading, accompanying the change in the height of a document. <P>SOLUTION: An image sensor unit 4 comprises: a first illuminating device 200 and a second illuminating device 201 which irradiate the document linearly; a rod lens array 12 which forms an image of reflected light from the document; and a sensor substrate 14 equipped with plural photoelectric conversion elements 13<SB POS="POST">k</SB>converting the reflected light to an electric signal. The first illuminating device 200 and the second illuminating device 201 are arranged opposite to each other in the vicinity of both sides of the rod lens array 12 and the irradiation ranges of light irradiated from the devices 200 and 201 in a sub-scanning direction are asymmetrical to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
