<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-cooled engine in which the cooling efficiency of the cylinder block of an engine body is increased. <P>SOLUTION: This air-cooled engine 115 includes: the engine body 140 having a crankcase 141 which pivotally supports a crankshaft 142, a cylinder block 143, and a cylinder head 147; a fan cowling 161 which forms an air supply passage 162 therein by covering the periphery of the cylinder block 143; and a cooling fan 160 which sucks the outside air from the outside of the fan cowling 161 by the driving of the crankshaft 142 and blows air to the cylinder block 143 through the air supply passage 162.
