The switching device (1) has a switching shaft (2) which is rotatably mounted in a transmission switching housing (3), and a shift lever (4) which is mechanically connected with the switching shaft. A switching mechanism (6) is engaged at the switching shaft in a switching position. A vibration decoupling mechanism (8) is arranged between switching mechanism and shift lever, for decoupling the switching shaft from the shift lever for limited vibration amplitudes of switching mechanism.
