PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization system for a fuel cell capable of supplying hydrocarbon-based fuel containing oxygen and sufficiently few sulfur compounds, and to provide a hydrogen manufacturing system for the fuel cell, a fuel cell system, a desulfurization method of the hydrocarbon-based fuel, and a hydrogen manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: The desulfurization system for the fuel cell includes: a fuel supply part by which the hydrocarbon-based fuel containing a sulfur compound, containing oxygen by 1 ppm to 4% in volume concentration and having the Wobbe index of 12 to 16 kWh/m3is supplied to a later stage; and a desulfurization part having a desulfurization catalyst to desulfurize the hydrocarbon-based fuel. The desulfurization catalyst contains zeolite carrying Ag and/or zeolite carrying Cu.
