<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a panel thickness and also to inexpensively generate a prescribed pattern of insulation area at a desired position, in a panel type input device using a conductive polymer as a conductive film. <P>SOLUTION: Respective conductive films 14, 20 of a pair of electrode boards 16, 22 are formed by using a conductive polymer in a panel type input device. The respective conductive films 14, 20 include: single detection areas 36 for detecting a touch input; and non-operation areas 38 which are arranged to be adjacent to the detection areas 36 and have surface resistivity higher than that of the detection areas 36. Parallel electrode pairs 24, 26 for applying a voltage to the conductive films 14, 20 are formed in the detection areas 36, and also conductive wires 28, 30 to be connected to the parallel electrode pairs 24, 26 are formed in the non-operation areas 38.
