<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an interpolation frame generated by interpolation based on the frame of original video data by a time code. <P>SOLUTION: As shown on Fig. 2, when the reproduction speed is 1/3, two interpolation frames (frames drawn by slant lines in Fig. 2) are generated between the original first frame (time code=01:00:00:00) and second frame (time code=01:00:00:01) of video data. Similarly, two interpolation frames are generated between the original second frame (time code=01:00:00:01) and third frame (time code=01:00:00:02) of video data. Time codes 01:00:00:00-01:00:00:06 are imparted anew for each frame of the video data interpolated.
